SHORT BIOGRAPHY:

Jonathan Bauer is an internationally recognized trumpeter, educator, composer, and singer from Alberta, Canada, who currently divides his time between London, UK, New Orleans, Louisiana, and Canada. He has released two records under his name, Walk Don't Run (Slammin’ media/2019) and  Sings And Plays (Slammin’ media/2021), with a new EP and album set for release in 2026. His music has taken him on tours across Canada, the US, the UK, Belgium, Germany, and Denmark, and he has headlined at numerous prestigious clubs, including Ronnie Scott's, the Cotton Club, the Hot Jazz Club, and Frankie's, among others. Bauer spent many formative years with the Grammy-winning New Orleans Jazz Orchestra, where he performed and/or recorded with notable artists, including Dee Dee Bridgewater, Ellis Marsalis, Robert Glasper, Cyrille Aimee, the Lionel Hampton Big Band, the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Renee Neufville, Sheila E., Eric Benét, Ledisi, and others. Jonathan will be touring their new EP, “Departure,” through Europe in the spring and summer of 2026. Only to be shortly followed by the release of his new project with long-time collaborator and friend, Mike Clement, in 2027.
